Eilertsen has performed music on about fifty releases, but Pentagramophone is his first "proper" solo album.

If you Google the term “Scandinavian minimalism” you will most likely be drowning in pictures of light and simplistic furniture, made out of birch or pinewood; simple lines and functionality. A more solid made IKEA-adaption for the rich, in timeless style.
But there is also a Scandinavian musical minimalism. Biosphere and Deathprod. Bjørn Torske and Röyksopp. Arne Nordheim and Else Marie Pade. Mayhem and Satyricon. The purity of harsh winter cold sounds, made into windy loops, snowy clusters or endless stretching arctic landscapes. It is within this Nordic tradition Petter Flaten Eilertsen’s debut album is made. His album is Scandinavian minimalism.
Petter Flaten Eilertsen has been part of the Norwegian music scene for more than twenty years. As an underground live musician he has worked with artists like Maja S. K. Ratkje and Lasse Marhaug. He has toured Japan and New Zeeland. He is also a well-known concert arranger, record producer, music distributor and record collector. His CV is longer than a Nordic winter. His field of work has been wider than the cold fields of Lapland. He himself is from the desolate Troms, far north. His music is far north.
Please spend some time listening to this album by Petter Flaten Eilertsen. It will do you good.

A benefit compilation for this concert venue, club, bar and record store in Oslo, Norway which has been hit hard, like many others, by CoVid 19. Well worth the purchase both for support and to enjoy the wide variety of alternative music on display. Gavin Hellyer
